Despite the fact that I sat down at my computer not once but TWICE this off season to try and purchase Red Sox Tickets at Fenway Park, I have had no luck securing even a lousy pair. And the 2nd opportunity, as a result of the ticket raffle, was SUPPOSEDLY narrowing the field, so I would actually HAVE a chance…Yeah, sure, right…

Sadly enough, I could go and see them just about any other venue, and would not have any problems. But when Fenway Park is the place to be–why would I want to go anywhere else? And, before you ask, The Stadium is completely out of the question…Yuk!

So here are my options if I want Sox tickets at Fenway:

Driving 6 hours to stand for 3 (Standing Room Only) Not happening…

Doing the obstructed view thing–which I have done already, and got a crick in my back from leaning over to see home plate, which was obstructed by the POST 3 feet in front of me. The thing about obstructed view is that you never really know HOW obstructed your view is going to be–until you chunk out the money and get the the park…

Going myself, or going with someone–and not sitting anywhere near them–which, again, I am not going to drive 6 hours to do….

Showing up at the Box Office day of and seeing if there is anything available–and if there’s not–then what? Back to the hotel to watch it on TV?

Buying from a scalper–which is not only illegal, but paying $100.00 for a $28.00 bleacher seat is just not going to happen…

OR, the option I should have went with in the 1st place: A Ticket Vendor Online…

So I went to Online Seats, an independently owned ticket agency, licensed in the state of Illinois. And Holy Buckets, did they have seats of tons of dates, and tons of location–even Red Sox/Yankee games, and while the prices are above face value, they are more reasonable than you think…

Specializing in selling premium seats and tickets for sold out events (and Fenway would certainly apply), Online seats has a staff with of over 33 years of experience in the event ticketing industry, to help you find those “gotta have” seats.

And not only do they do sports ticketing of every type imaginable, they also sell all types of theater tickets for Las Vegas and Broadway shows among others…

So if you could not get tickets to Fenway, have a golf fan in your life who would LOVE tickets to The Masters, or want to finally see The Lion King on Broadway, Online Seats has what you are looking for–Check them out!

Good Luck–and Happy Ticketing!

Holy…Buckets…!

So, I get this e-mail yesterday: I was selected as a “2nd Chance” Drawing Winner for the opportunity to purchase tickets to a Red Sox/Skanks or Red Sox/Dodgers game! Yay!! Beginning at 12 noon today, and until 12 noon tomorrow (or until the tickets run out), the chosen few have the “opportunity” to purchase up to 4 tickets to 1 game.

And of course, I have to be somewhere at noon. So I am taking 1 hour vacation after lunch, and will sit at my computer at home and try to get tickets to a game in the Skankee series in October–and if I cannot get out of hte virtual waiting room (’cause you KNOW there will be one) and get tickets in that 60 minutes–it wont be happening, as I dont think there will be tickets avialable by 9:00pm tonight, when I will be getting home…

Never had this chance before, nor have I ever been to a Sox/Skankee matchup–and I am sure as hell not going to risk my life by going to NYC–and Scranton/Wilke-Barre vs Pawtcket doesn’t count…so I reallyREALLY hope I can get tickets…

I’ll keep you posted…Whoo Hoo!

Many of us did the crazy lunatic thing a couple of weeks ago, where we sat, online, and on the phone, waiting…and waiting…and WAITING in Virtual Waiting rooms, for Red Sox tickets, only to discover (unless you are very very lucky) that the best seats available are:

Obstructed view

When you go by yourself (Don’t think I haven’t entertained this option in the past…)

Now, I live 6 hours away from Boston, so I will not risk driving all the way up to Fenway, and then showing up on the chance that I could get tickets at the Box Office. Now, I could probably get tickets form a scalper, but paying $75+ for bleacher seats, or standing room only is… just…CRAZY…

Maybe I should have just saved myself the grief (and time!) and went to one of the online ticket places. They seem to have everything, even the Hannah Montana tickets my stepdaughter wants so much.

So I decided to check out Red Sox Tickets at Ticket Specialist. And boy, do I wish I had went here 1st. They had TONS of Red Sox tickets, beginning from Spring Training to Japan, to even Tickets against the Skanks for the last weekend of the season! And while there were a few of the “Bleachers for $500″ tickets–there were quite a few grandstand seats at reasonable prices, and even some Box Seats!

Ticket Specialists have tickets for about every possible sport you could think of–even golf! The entertainment arm is expansive as well, featuring tickets for concerts of every shape and color, as well as Las Vegas and Broadway shows…

I also looked at Online Seats, which is another ticket broker, who specializes in hard to get and sold out tickets.

I was curious as to where ticket brokers get their tickets. According to Onlineseats.com: “Ticket brokers rely on the following people for tickets: the general public, radio stations, musicians, coaches, players, corporations, other brokers and the box office. Ticket brokers do not pay face value for their tickets therefore tickets are sold at more than face value. ”

So if you could not get tickets to Fenway, or just GOTTA have those tickets to Wicked, or in my husband’s case, Blue Man Group, (they even have shows in Germany!) it looks like Online Seats or Ticket Specialists can help you out…

All of us, at one time or another, have purchased tickets online. Most often for me it’s buying concert tickets from TicketMaster, or, locally, getting tickets for the Wachovia Arena, or (some people do, I, obviously don’t) buy tickets from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Skankees, directly on their site…

But what if you want tickets to a Patriots Game, a Red Sox Game, the latest Hannah Montana concert, or even your favorite college football tickets?

Then checking out TicketLiquidator might be the answer.

In business since 2002, TicketLiquidator has built the biggest and best-quality database of hard-to-find tickets anywhere. Their goal is to bring together all the various ticket sellers in the country, liquidate their commodity, and then display everyone’s inventory all in one place. They are sort of like Ebay for tickets! Anyone can list with them, from ticket brokers to individuals with season tickets they can’t use. From baseball tickets to tickets to “Wicked”, TicketLiquidator is the place to go…

As of today, TicketLiquidator has over 3.2 million tickets to 60,000 events, and their sales have tripled in the past year. Operating under the theory that low prices with alot of customers is always better than higher prices and fewer customer, they are easy to use, whether you are buying OR selling. And if you get stuck, there are always knowledgeable customer service folks to help you out…

So next time you are looking for those football tickets you just HAVE to have, check out TicketLiquidator!
