Product Review: MapLeggings–A different way to show some Boston love…

Posted by Christine E. at 8:51 pm in Baseball,Product Reviews,Red Sox No Comments

If you’re like me, you have a million Boston and/or Red Sox T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweat pants, hats, and the random Mr. Potatohead in Red Sox gear.

If you’re also like me, you are always looking for the next thing (Red Sox wine, anyone?)

Well, Philip from MapLeggings contacted me during the ALDS and asked if I would be willing to review his product: legging, emblazoned with a map of the city of Boston, in exchange for a free pair. As this seemed a very cool and different concept, I quickly agreed.

Holy Buckets! Where do I sign up? I went to their website where I saw leggings from places such as Paris, Ireland, Amsterdam, and Chicago, and yes, even NYC, if you’re into that. The Boston page had 4 different styles (yoga shorts, capris and leggings, as well as regular legging) and 5 different colors such as Dark Blue, Green, Black, Patriotic, and of course, Red.

While the Patriot (red, white, and blue) was intriguing, as were the St. Patrick’s day green, I went with the red in the yoga leggings as these have a higher waist, which I always prefer. So I placed my order, and I immediately received my confirmation, as well as a nice note, thanking me for my order, and indicating that were hard at work making my yoga shorts.

A couple days later, I received notification that my order had shipped, complete with a tracking link, and the day they were delivered I received notifications that not only that they were out for delivery, but that they has been delivered.

First of all, these are very VERY cool. They have a map of the city of Boston emblazoned all over the pants. Not surprisingly, I immediately found Fenway on the map…

And then I tried them on. Holy Buckets, these pants as super soft, fit perfectly, and were surprisingly long enough (as someone with a 33″ inseam, finding leggings and yoga pants that don’t end up in the middle of my calves is a rarity). They are thick enough not to be see-through, even when bending and stretching. I wore them to a Yoga class today, and never once did I feel anything but comfortable–and there was no adjusting them every time I moved! I can see these are definitely going to be in the workout rotation very frequently.

So while they are not your bargain basement variety of workout gear (The pants I got were on sale for $62.70), if you want something really unique and super comfortable, then head on over to MapLeggings , and grab a pair of these pants, capris, or shorts.

    You will not regret it!
