Too Much Stuff on my Plate…

Posted by Christine E. at 7:17 pm in Baseball,Random Thoughts,Red Sox No Comments

And unfortunately, none of it even remotely resembles or is even close to home plate…

Holy Buckets. Someone needs to petition whomever it is in charge of time (Father Time? Mother Nature? Someone else?) and see if we can get another 4-8 a day. Because the 24 we currently got, just is not enough these days….and then we have Daylight Savings Time, which taken an hour AWAY this weekend, and leaves me all out of sorts for about a week…

So we are a little more than 3 weeks until Opening Day, which coincides with the majority of the projects I am working on to be significantly completed, which should..SHOULD free up some time to watch some baseball–because I really want to see this team play…

Jerry Remy returned Spring Training yesterday, in preparation for his first game on March 25th. He is fully recovered from the surgery he had in January which removed a cancerous growth. Thankfully, not further follow-up treatment, such as radiation or chemo was needed. This was his 4th time battling the disease, and hopefully his last. He is feeling good and ready to start his 29th year as the Red Sox color guy.

Speaking of being on the mend, David Price SAYS he is doing better, as he progresses through his enforced rest and recovery period for his elbow strain. He is doing strength training, and if all goes well, will start some tossing on flat ground over the weekend or early next week. I really just wish he would rehab, and get out there and pitch already. And I hope this is the end of this…and it doesn’t become a thing…

And knock it off with the cryptic Twitter stuff…K?

But in good pitching news, looks like Drew Pomeranz and Steven Wright will be back in the rotation soon, as they have almost completed their rehab work…I expect we will see both of them next week sometime…Whoo Hoo!

And then there is my guy, Andrew Benintendi. Yeah, I know, I could be his…OLDER SISTER…ahem. But not only do I think he is superstar material. He IS really nice to look it. There, I said it…

baseballbloggersalliance-thumb-200x155-12545-8.pngFinally, a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take part in an article with Baseball Bloggers Alliance (BBBA) founder, and Cardinals blogger extraordinaire Daniel Shoptaw, as well as some of the best Red Sox bloggers going–and we all got a bunch of questions about the team, and what we see for the 2017 campaign. You can read all about it here

Coming up: A night game against the Oreos to kick off the weekend. Kyle Kendrick gets his 3rd start of 2017, and goes for his 2nd win of Spring Training, hoping to build on his good pitching we have seen this year thus far. He is opposed by Ubaldo Jimenez for the Cookies. 1st pitch at home at Jet Blue: 6:05pm…
