    Red Sox 4, Skanks 14:
OK. Can we FINALLY end this nonsense…

    Once and for all???

Please knock it off with the “oh, it’s going to be better, and he is going to be consistent and not be a headcase and laity blah…”

Last night was absolute and utter CRAP–and oh so typical Clay Buchholz. Completely brilliant in one start, and beyond abysmal in the next.

Let’s look at this, shall we?

Opening Day: 7 IP, 0 runs on 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 9. He threw 94 pitches, 65 for strikes.

Last night: 3.1 IP, 10 runs (9 earned) on 9 hits (including 3 homers), while walking 2 and striking out 3. He threw 79 pitches, 50 for strikes…

And That Clay Person’s response? “I’m not going to let one start affect the way I feel about the year that we’re going to have or how I feel”

One start Clay? If it was one START, that might be true. But holy hell you have been pulling this bullsh*t for SEVEN YEARS…

And to add insult to injury one of those homers was to Stephen fracking Drew. REALLY CLAY????

But since we don’t have to deal with him until Friday, his next start against the Oreos (and I would not be surprised if there is a sudden “DL” stint before the week is out. Let’s look to more positive things…

Today is Opening Day at Fenway Park–Whoo Hoo! Wish it was later in the day, although the whole Nationals series is weird. 3:05 today, 6:10 pm tomorrow, and 1:35pm on Wednesday…It’s not like there is a time change or anything…

And…The Sox have won their first 2 series of the season, and are 4-2 for the 2015 campaign. If they can win more series than they lose, they will definitely be in the mix this year.

And hey, being tied for first with the Cookies 6 games into the season is decidedly better than being dead last at 2-4–like the Skanks…

And THANKFULLY Joe Kelly is back, and getting the job done, with his 7-inning gem on Saturday, which allowed the completely taxed bullpen to rest after the 19 inning debacle that was Friday night.

Speaking of Friday night, It was Edward Mujica who game up the tying run to Chase Headley with 2 outs in the 9th–causing the game to more than DOUBLE in length. Wonderful. Can we get a DL stint for him as well???

Fortunately, in the first week of the season, there are certainly more things to be happy about than not, including a win today of 9-4, with Ric Porcello, getting his first win in a Sox uniform with a 8-inning outing

Finally, I had the opportunity to hang out with some fellow baseball folks last week. AC Wayne from Mets Public Record and Ricky Keeler of Yanks Go Yard and I talked about the Sox, Mets and Yankees on BBA’s Blog Talk Radio. Check it out!

Coming up: Game 2 of the Nationals series. Justin Masterson gets his first start with the Sox at Fenway since 2009, opposed by Stephen Strausburg. 1st pitch: 6:10pm…
