Red Sox 11, Tampa Bay 3:
    One…More…Game…

So right now, the Sox have the exact same number of wins as they did during the abysmal season that was 2012. They need to win one more over their next 4 to better that.

While 70 wins is certainly NOTHING to be proud of (22 win UNDER .500–crappy doesn’t even BEGIN to cover that nonsense), at least they cannot be any worse than the flaming car wreck that was 2012.

Anthony Ranaudo had a great outing last night for his 4th win, leaving him with a 4-3 record, and a 4.81. Not bad for a 4th or 5th starter. Unfortunately, that’s all the Sox seem to have at this point…

His line: 7IP, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out 2. He threw 98 pitches, 66 for strikes…

So it’s official: with their loss against the Oreos last night, the Skanks have been eliminated from playoff contention. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Yeah, the Sox suck, but the Skanks couldn’t get it done either…and that makes the postseason that much more palatable…

And I am DREADING the whole “farewell to Jeter” THING that you KNOW is going to happen. I know, everyone loves him, even Red Sox fans, for a multitude of reasons. But I…just…CAN’T…Blech…

Shockingly, it looks like Jacoby Ellsbury will not be playing in the series, as he has (guess what) hamstring issues…Yeah, it looks like Jackie Bradley, Jr. is a bust (in the offense department, at least) but I don’t regret the Sox not overpaying for Jake…

So there are 4 games left…and at it’s a good thing they have September call-ups…cause it seems like every day SOMEONE is a scratch. Will Middlebrooks: Still Out, Mike Napoli is banged up and hasn’t played in like 6 games, Brock Holt is still out with a concussion, Xander Bogaerts has a stiff neck and is day to day, blah blah blah. So we are getting a very strong spring training vibe–you know the one where you see the lineup for a game, and have NO idea who half of them are….

Speaking of having NO idea: Could the Red Sox have mercy on their fans and find another fracking starter for the final game of the season, so we don’t have to see That Clay Person ONE. MORE. TIME. Holy Hell, my 2.5 year old daughter is a left with a mean arm…Probably could not be any worse…

And if that is not possible. Ben, PLEASE trade his sorry ass somewhere. I don’t care where. Just AWAY from Boston…It’s been fracking SEVEN YEARS…enough is enough…

Coming up: The last game against Tampa Bay until next year. Allen Webster takes the bump, opposed by Jeremy Hellickson. 1st pitch 7:10pm…Then it’s on to the Skanks…UGH…
