    Red Sox 4, Toronto 6,
    Red Sox 0, Toronto 8: And….that’s a wrap…

    A lot of us tried.

    Really.

We thought they could turn it around. Even those of us who KNEW it was going to be a VERY hard road to get back to the top of the AL East (even if the division is the suckiest it’s been in a very long time), they had pulled us back in over the last 2 weeks, but playing the way they should have been all season long.

It looked like they FINALLY were locked in, and maybe some magic could happen…and some of us dared to hope, even a tiny bit.

And then That Clay Person served up a flaming pile of SUCK last night, and it looks like he has back to being THAT GUY again. And for the Sox to have any chance AT ALL, they need the Clay Buchholz they had at the beginning of last season, before he (supposedly) took a nap with his daughter and screwed up his neck.

And that doesn’t look like that is going to happen…

So a 3-run shot by the Large Father in the 1st inning of last night’s contest was completely wasted, as Buchholz gave those runs right back at the bottom of the frame. And then gave them 2 more for 2 good measure in later innings.

His line: 6 IP, throwing 99 pitches, 61 for strikes, gave up 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits while walking 4, hitting the same batter TWICE, and striking out 1.

As much potential as this guy has, and we have SEEN the flashes of brilliance. But after 7 years, ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Package him and Jake up, and get something the Sox can work with for the future…

The non-trade waiver deadline is a week today. Ben, something needs to happen here…

And today’s game I reallyREALLY thought was going to be the day the Sox got no-hit (we all KNOW it’s coming), as some guy named Stroman (I don’t have a fracking clue either)took a no-no into the 6th inning, before Shane Victorino hit a single–the ONLY hit from the Red Sox line-up…

    Pathetic.

Perhaps Rubby De La Rosa needs some more time in Pawtucket, because giving up 7 runs (6 earned, and 2 allowed to score, thanks to, you guessed it, Badenhop) in 4+ innings of work is really not going to cut it…

And in the end, they scored most of their runs in the ONLY game they won in this series: the first one… And the kicker is? They freaking OUTSCORED Toronto 24-21 in this series…too bad more than half were in that first game…Holy hell…

Coming up: 3 against freaking Tampa Bay. And GUESS WHO is the first pitcher we see? Yep. David “I get to hit people and don’t get penalized for it” Price. Great. Jon Lester takes the bump for the Sox. 1st pitch 7:10. The Sox need to light that asshat up…BIG TIME…
