Last Sunday June 8, the Red Sox Foundation teamed up with KIND Healthy Snacks, Poland Spring and jetBlue to hold the second annual yoga sessions at Fenway Park
Celebrity yoga and fitness instructor Mandy Ingber led two “FenwaYoga” sessions. The classes, which accommodated up to 222 participants, featured yogis of all experience stretching and meditating along the warning track.
Ingber, a New York Times bestseller and creator of Yogalosophy—has more than 18 years of experience as a self-love expert, speaker, producer, instructor and author. She has motivated people with her light-hearted approach and unique teaching style. Her celebrity clientele includes Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale, Ricki Lake, Brooke Shields and Helen Hunt, among others.
Each participant committed to raising a minimum of $250 for the Red Sox Foundation and prizes were awarded to the top three fundraisers
All proceeds benefitted the Red Sox Foundation’s Red Sox Scholars and RBI Youth Baseball & Softball Program. The Red Sox Scholars Program is presented by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and provides college scholarships, tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programs to academically talented, financially disadvantaged Boston public middle school students. The RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Program serves more than 2,000 inner city teens each summer using the sport to promote healthy choices and valuable life-skills.
