Jim Rice is the post show commentator. They wouldn't have let him do the commercial if they didnt support it, and I read about the song in the Sports Illustrated commemorative edition. They wouldn't have let that happen if they didnt like the song. The commercial is also running on NESN, which the Red Sox own. If they didnt like the song, none of that would happen.
