Coming up next weekend, on Saturday, August 13th, The Jimmy Fund will hold its 20th Annual Fantasy Day at Fenway Park. Held from 9-5pm, this event gives fans the unique opportunity to experience Fenway Park like never before, with the action and excitement of playing out their baseball dreams while supporting the fight against cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.Yes, you can actually fundraiser yourself into fielding and batting packages, where you can actually play on the field (Act now, these types of things do NOT last long!) Prices for these opportunities begin at a fundraising minimum of $750, and open to anyone 15 years or older…
Offering opportunities for folks to support the Jimmy Fund by purchasing tickets to the Fan Zone to enjoy activities in the concourse area including contests, a kid zone, and tours of the park. Tickets are $15 per person for folks 12 and over, $10 for children ages three to 11, and free for children under three. Packages for families are also available.

Also on tap for August is the 10th Annual Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon beginning Tuesday, August 30th and running from 6:00am to midnight through Wednesday, August 31st, 2011, at Fenway Park.
The 2-day event, broadcast on WEEI and NESN, will feature compelling patient stories and celebrity guests, as well as emotional ceremonies prior to both Red Sox games during the two day period.
Celebrating its 10th year, The Telethon will focus on the progress that has been made in cancer research over the past decade. Since its inception in 2002, the Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon has raised nearly $26 million dollars, with over $3.1 million dollars raised in 2009. With gifts coming in from every state in the country, the radio-telethon continues to be the Jimmy Fund’s fastest growing event.
