    Red Sox 3, Cleveland 1:
    And that would be #11…

Tim Wakefield really seems to get what the team needs, and then delivers. He knew the bullpen was depleted from the marathon that was The Sweep Weekend, and gave them a rest by throwing 7 innings of scoreless baseball. Throwing 112 pitches, 63 for strikes, Wake struck out 5, walked 4, hit someone, and had a Wild Pitch–but he still only gave up ONE HIT…Ya know what his ERA is now? 1.86–Yeah, Tim Wakefield…1.86

While he certainly pitched well enough for the win, it wasn’t until the 9th inning, where Jason Bay did it AGAIN–a 3-run shot that gave the Sox their 11th win…

While the Sox have activated Sir Julio the Useless, fortunately, they used Nick Green in last night’s game–their goal is to ease him back in–made MUCH easier by the fact that Nick Green has been playing very well…I expect we’ll see Lugo in the lineup for tonight’s game..YUK…

Daisuke is progressing to 120 feet of long toss, and will probably throw his 1st bullpen session since being on the DL, sometime tomorrow…From Tito on his progress:”There’s a pretty good chance at the end of this road trip that we’ll send him out to pitch somewhere. But all we really care about is him feeling good and feeling strong…We really care about how he’s feeling and not what we put on paper.”

Did anyone have April 26th in the ongoing “When will JD Drew be injured?” pool? Cause he strained his left quad on Sunday, and was out of the lineup in last night’s game because of it. Apparently, rest and ice helped calm it down, and it will probably will not require a DL stint…

Great quote from JD, tho, on Jacoby’s steal of home in Sunday night’s game (He was at bat when it happened): “I’m not the guy that steals home. I’m the guy that tries not to kill the guy who’s stealing home.”

And the Hardware begins:A well deserved nod to Mike Lowell as he was named the AL Player of the Week for last week. Presented by Bank of America, Lowell won for his superb numbers for the span: .435 (10-for-23) with 11 RBI’s–the most in the American League. He also leads the league in RBI’s for the season with 22. Long way from not even being able to move without excruciating pain at the end of last season…

Coming Up: The Sox go for win #12, with Bad Penny! getting the nod in game 2 against Cleveland at The Jake (I refuse to call it freaking Progressive Field) Hopefully, his improvement trend will continue. He is opposed by Anthony Reyes for the Tribe. 1st pitch 7:10pm
