Hey Mitch:

I think Curt Schilling retiring was the best thing that could happen (in terms of being a Red Sox fan) I would have been horribly disappointed if her has went somewhere else, and done horribly, or did very well. After all he did for the team (bloody sock and all), the best way he could end it, for me, was to retire a Red Sox--and although he technically was not a Red Sox when he retired--its close enough...:-)

More to come...Thanks for your comments! One more week!

I have to admit that I've been waiting for you to write a full opinion post on Curt Schilling's retiring and whether the Red Sox should take a second look at re-acquiring Pedro Martinez; also, the issues with Jason Bey. Thoughts?
