So, Tim Wakefield, despite turning in a competent 7 inning performance, throwing 115 pitches, 73 for strikes, and giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3, could not overcome the 2 wild pitches, an error by Alex Cora (only his 2nd of the year–better than Lugo’s 15…), [...]

Another 1-Run Game, Another Loss…

And now, the Sox sit 1.5 games behind Tampa Bay in the AL East Standings. The Sox tried in the late innings after trailing 5-2 for the most of the game, but once again, they fell short with a late inning rally. They are currently 11-13 in 1 run games…seems like a lot worse than [...]
