    Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day–June 28, 2008

Posted by Christine E. at 9:34 am in Good Deeds,Red Sox Comment (1)

As you know, I, and several of Boston Red Thought’s readers recently donated our copies of PS3 MLB08 The Show to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Well, I heard from a Marketing Coordinator from the Jimmy Fund this week, asking if I would spread the word about this WAY cool event they are holding at Fenway on Saturday June 28th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Too bad I will be there 2 weeks before, and then overseas, because this is DEFINITELY something I would love to be at!SEFD08026 web ban 300x250 M

What could be better than “an insider’s view of Fenway Park, home of the 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox?” Well, on June 28,2007, at Fenway Park, the Jimmy Fund and the Red Sox Store will hold “Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day“. A day filled with contests, Sox expert panel discussions, tours, and tons of other activities to keep you busy at the greatest place in the world–Fenway Park…

To be a part of this amazing day, you can purchase the Ultimate Fan Experience Tickets, which are a steal at only $25 per person for ages 12+ and $15 per person for children ages 3-11 (children under 3 are free). Also keep in mind, your ticket price is 100% Tax Deductible.

For those folks who were lucky to have already purchased the “On Field Package” which will allow them to actually GET ON THE FIELD–and I am not talking about just the warning track, like when you take a normal Fenway tour. One this one, you can stand on the pitchers mound, or run the bases, or run around in the outfield! Holy Buckets! Can you IMAGINE??? Unfortunately, these tickets (as you would expect) are long sold out…

An annual event in its 16th year, the Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day at Fenway Park has raised nearly $6 million in support of cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber.

So, if you are in the neighborhood, what could be a better day, for a better cause? Or even if your not in the neighborhood, buy a ticket as a donation. And if you go, tell ’em Boston Red Thoughts sent you–and take a TON of pictures and send them to me!

      What a great cause, Christine.

Sounds like it’d be a great day to be at the park.
