    February 28, 2008:
Happy 1st Spring Training Games Day!!

Posted by Christine E. at 12:44 pm in Baseball,Random Thoughts,Red Sox Comment (1)

Yep, today, Red Sox Nation, are the 1st 2 games of the years, yes, only spring training games, and against college players no less but its an actual organized baseball game with a lineup card and innings and strikes and balls and outs…..and in less than a month, it will all matter! Whooo Hooo!

So Bartolo Colon comes lumbering into camp (I am sorry, I cannot get the Eric Gagne, “this-is-such-a-HUGE-mistake” thoughts out of my head…) with something to prove: “A lot of teams were saying I can’t still pitch, so I’m trying to take this opportunity to show those teams I can still pitch…My arm feels good, I just need to progress to a point where my arm starts to feel stronger…”He feels that he will be ready to pitch in a Spring Training game within a couple weeks or so…Oh, OK…

Yesterday the Sox went to the White House, and Manny, in a flash of his “normal” behavior, did not go…George W attributed it to “Manny’s grandmother must have died again” Accordingly to Tito, its not that big of a deal: “There’s probably a handful of guys that aren’t going for whatever reason…It just wasn’t a mandatory trip. Certainly just about everybody is excited, but it’s not a mandatory trip.” He did not attend the 2004 trip either…

In other “political” news, Jerry Remy was sworn in as President of Red Sox Nation with the following words: “I, Jerry Remy, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of Red Sox Nation. I pledge to be true to the game, true to our fans and, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and promote all that is great about the beloved sport of baseball and the Boston Red Sox.” His VP, a civilian named Rob Crawford (and who will get all the perks Rem-Dawg doesn’t want or need) was sworn in as well…

So I guess its really going to happen–the feds will be investigating Mercenary Roger. From the letter sent to the Justice Department: “We are not in a position to reach a definitive judgment as to whether Mr. Clemens lied to the committee…Our only conclusion is that significant questions have been raised about Mr. Clemens’s truthfulness and that further investigation by the Department of Justice is warranted. We ask that you initiate such an investigation. The record of the committee’s proceedings will be made available to the Department of Justice to assist in the investigation.” He could serve some jail time and fined if found to have perjured himself…HA HA

Today: The 1st 2 games of the Season. Josh Beckett gets the nod against Boston College and Justin Masterson (the guy to watch, from what I have been hearing) gets the ball for game 2 against Northeastern. 1st pitch is 1:05 and 6:05pm, respectively….

    1. Kosttillskott says:

Have at least one rest day in between your workout days to let your muscles grow and prevent overtraining. You know, 30 minutes a day, 4 times a week with the right high-intensity exercises can help you build 10-15 pounds of pure muscle in only 16 weeks! Yeah, it can be that quick if you do your workouts correctly and eat right.
