		<description>Christine, the fact there is no deal sort of confirms my initial suspicion: if the Sox made an offer the Twins liked, fine. If it kept Santana from the Yankees and we never ended up with him, well that was fine too.

We DON&#039;T need him: he&#039;d be great, yeah. But I honestly think this was more about keeping him from NY/making them give away the house than actually signing him.

Hopefully, it&#039;ll still get done. As far as Jacoby, I hate to say it, but if I were a ballplayer, THAT would be who I signed with. Guy gets the big money for his clients, no doubt about it.</description>
