    Red Sox 3, Skankees 4:
I don’t EVEN want to talk about last night…

Posted by Christine E. at 11:38 am in Baseball,Random Thoughts,Red Sox Comment (1)

Trying to take positives from this otherwise depressing weekend at the Fens:

Curt Schilling and Daisuke pitched very well this weekend, and both deserved better fates that they got…

Memo to Jorge Posada: You actually need to TAG the runner coming into home if you want to get them out…

But it was pretty cool when Eric Hinske RAMMED right into him in game 2…AND then had a solo shot in the 8th inning…

Memo to Skeezy Bastard: You made an error in Left field last night–tough noogies if the lights got in your eyes…

Watching Giambi bobble ball after ball is always a treat…

Joba Chamberlain gave up his 1st homer in his major league career to Mike Lowell–HA HA…

Josh Beckett needs to win the Cy Young award–’nuff ced!

And when Josh hit Giambi “on accident ” in game 2, after Youk got hit on the wrist–is this guy an ACE or what?

The Sox are still 4.5 games ahead–with a magic number in the single digits (9) and 12 more to go…

I hope there are pictures! As is the tradition, for the final road games of each season, the rookies are forced to don women’s clothing for trip. This years costumes included: Brandon Moss as Dorothy from the “Wizard of Oz”, Clay Buchholz in a little red satin outfit, Jacoby Ellbury as Little Red Riding Hood. Daisuke and his translator, Masa Hoshino, wore “Teletubbies” outfits (Daisuke was the hideous lime green teletubby); Hideki Okajima wore a pirate costume while HIS translator, Jeff Yamaguchi, wore a white Elvis jumpsuit.

Tonight: The final road trip of the regular season begins tonight as the Sox head over the border to Toronto to play the final 3 against them this weekend. Tim Wakefield, coming up 2 abysmal starts since being sidelined with back woes, takes mound for the Sox. He is opposed by Dustin McGowan. 1st pitch is 7:07pm

Christine: check out the video box on the right and find the one with Daisuke dressed like a tellitubby: hilarious.

I’m with you: a lot of positives for the series to take. Daisuke pitched better, Beckett was great, and except for 2 pitches, so was Schill. I’m picking we clinch a week from today or tomorrow. We’ll see.

On to Toronto where hopefully Timmeh is on his game.

      Hope all is well,
