    Bill Mueller has announced his retirement after 11 years of major league baseball and has joined the Dodgers front office as a Special Assistant to the General Manager.

    A known Yankee-killer and member of the 2004 World Series Champion Red Sox, Bill Mueller, finishes his career with a .291 lifetime batting average, 85 home runs and 493 RBIs A batting champion and Silver Slugger Award winner in 2003, he joined the Dodgers in 2006 but only played 32 games before surgery on his right knee ending the season, and career. Playing the majority of the time at 3rd base, he complied a .958 fielding percentage, playing 1,182 career games.

    Crap, this sounds like he freakin DIED….

    Bill Mueller was always on of my favorite players, always felt like if there was something going on, he was in the middle of it. Good luck with your office job, “Herr” Mueller…
