Apparently the Pale Hose or the Cincinnati Reds have made a 3-Year $15 million offer to Alex Gonzalez. Toronto also has interest in the shortstop. The White Sox and Toronto have strong enough lineups to be able to hide his less than stellar bat in the mix. At this point the Sox have not made an offer…and ya know why???

‘Cause they and the Cubs want Julio Lugo…and I have a feeling that unless the contracts get crazy nutso, Lugo will be our shortstop when the games begin in April…If anyone knows, could you clue me in? WHAT IS THE ATTRACTION TO THIS GUY???

I heard that the reason 51,111,111.11 was bid is because, converted to Yen, it is exactly $ 6 billion–and that amount is TRIPLE what the Segui Tigers had a payroll last year. And apparently the team could use the money–another compelling reason for this deal to get done…

Tuesday, November 21 is the day: When MLB announces the AL MVP. Will it be the rightful winner: Joe Mauer or Big Papi–who truly were the Most Valuable Player on their team? Or will the sportswriters be all goo goo eyes about Jeter–and give it to him, even tho he is just an all-star in a group of all-stars. And the NONSENSE about how he kept the team together when 2 of their all-stars went down–they still have SEVEN–which is more than any other team has…Doesn’t anyone see how self serving he is? I don’t even want to talk about this anymore–he makes me nauseous…

Ok, Theo it’s been two days since your last big deal–What are you going to do for an encore?

I am so upset about Gonzalez. I have this strange affection for him and he is SO good defensively…I am so sad.

I know how you feel, Laura–I felt that way about Orlando Cabrera, and never understood why they signed Renteria for more money…

He could still sign with the Sox, you never know..:-)

    3. Laura says:

I surely hope so. It won’t be the same without the Gonz, but I suppose I could survive.

I loved Orlando too. I never said the r in his name though, it was always Ooooolando to me. Ahh, he was good.

Of course I feel the same, but with the faith that the game plan, so to say, is in place and a new team is rising, Phoenix-like. Take care C.
