Peter: I agree that A-Gone is one of the best SS we have had, but he lacked that "something" that separated him from the best...

Michael: Yes, giving up The OC for Renteria was one of the more boneheaded moves in recent history..and, as I mentioned above to Peter, The OC had that "something" like Pokey that set him slightly above..maybe its the clutch hit when we needed it, or the goofy handshakes, or the sheer joy of playing the game that the fans can actually FEEL...

Yeah, Laura, I am the same way--always out there looking for some shred of news...which seems to be very think these days...

Haha I love the first sentence, because it's just so true. I check the page way too much and get so disappointed when I still see DiNardo is the top story!

I also remember Orlando Cabrera who took the '04 Red Sox to the World Championship @ SS, while Pokey Reese was at 2B:

The Worst?
Edgar Renteria, aka "Rent-A-Wreck".

Nice to read you on a Monday! Hope your weekend was great. And for me, JUST me, the best SS in my Sox memories was GONZO. If only he had played in 20 or 30 more games.....although Alex Cora was just fine. But the Gold Glove whiners would have had something to bark about if he had. Now is the time that will shape our club...take care!
