Red Sox 4, Oreos 3 2 more games

Am I the only one that cannot freaking BELIEVE that the season will end for the Sox TOMORROW? Holy Buckets!!!

And with so many missing pieces, where does Theo and company even BEGIN to assembly another championship team for next year? I think the pieces are there, but adding the right ones to complement the good stuff we already got, I don’t envy Theo in the least…But I have one suggestion: since you are already planning on getting rid of A-Gon anyway? RE SIGN POKEY REESE!!!

But there HAVE been some positives this season:

Jonathan Papelbon, who will throw to live hitter again, even tho he will not pitch in a game until Spring Training, has been the lock down, dead nuts on closer that we needed…

And if you had told me that Julian Tavarez, JULIAN TAVAREZ, would be starting I would have accused you of smoking crack…and if you had told me he would be freakishly GOOD at it? I would have had you committed… In his 6 starts for the Sox, his is 3-0 with a 4.01 ERA, and had delivered TON a comedy to go with it, from his goofball play of trying to tag out Brain Roberts at 2nd base last night, to yelling and pointing to the players around him as to where they should throw the ball…

Big Papi, breaking Jimmie Foxx’s single season record of 51, currently has 54…

Mike Lowell: The fact that the Sox picked him up as salary dump fro the Marlins so they could get Josh Beckett–and he has done as well as he has…47 doubles, 19 HR, 77RBI’s–and his exceptional play at 3rd base..Did you SEE that catch he made last night?? And I think he should be the official spokesman for all players–cause, let’s face it, most baseball players are not the most eloquent of folks—He’s glib, personable, intelligent, witty, and doesn’t do that awkward and abrupt “This is not my talent, I’d like to thank my personal savior, Jesus” like Bill Mueller used to do…

We got Curt Schilling back–not as good as he was in 2004, but a damn sight better than the 2005 version…

For the 1st time for a very long time (maybe EVER?) we had the best fielding percentage in BOTH leagues…How cool is THAT???

There are a ton more, those are just the ones that jump out….so it wasn’t all bad….just alot of it…

And HOW many days until spring training?…Oh, CRAP…

Tonight: Tim Wakefield vs. Adam Loewen, 7:05pm
