Red Sox 0, Mariners 6 Red Sox 3, Mariners 6 Red Sox 3, Mariners 6 Stick a fork in us…

So, I have the Red Sox Schedule/Calendar on my wall at work–and everyday I mark a dot on the date, depending on the outcome of the game–Red dot for wins, and Black dot for non-wins (aka losses)..and today, I got to put three more black dots on the page–a page which, up until about a month ago, had alot more red dots…

    Here is the breakdown:
    April: 14 wins/25 game .560 win %
May: 18 wins/29 games .620 win % (I get this number becasue I place the 5th Skank loss in this month, becasue this is where the game was originally scheduled, instead of adding it to August’s already abysmal totals…)
    June: 17 wins/26 games .653 win %
    July: 14 wins/ 26 games .538 win %
August: 8 wins/ 25 games .320 win % This number is as of last nights game…

To factor out the rest of the month: we have 4 games to go:
    If we win all 4, for 12 wins/29 games .413 win %
    If we lose all 4, for 8 wins/29 games .275 win %
    If we win 2/lose 2 for 10 wins/29 games .345 win %

Sure, when Stephen King and Stewart O’Nan decided to chronicle a season, or the Farrelly brothers decided to film a movie about the Sox and the fans–they get a fricken WORLD SERIES win….I start a blog..and I get one of the worst collapses in recent history…

And Dan Shaughnessy, who is completely DIGGING this whole downward spiral, cause now he has something to write about. continues to blame Manny for the teams woes… “”The Sox-Held-Hostage-By-Manny-Tour takes a toll on everyone.” Crap…

NO DAN, I don’t think the blame (If blame is even the right word) can be placed on one person…Why don’t we look at THIS–maybe this could be a contributing factor–Do ya THINK???:

    On the DL:
Jason Varitek: Left knee surgically repaired; should be back in about a week (if not sooner…)
Wake: Stress fracture in rib cage; Has started to throw off the mound again; probably out until September
Trot: Strained right bicep/staphy infection; should be back in about a week or so…
A-Gone: Right oblique strain; Out until beginning of Sept.
Lenny DiNardo: Neck strain; but did well in his last rehab start–will probably rejoin the team after Pawtucket’s season ends next week…
Matt Clement: Right shoulder strain (or whatever they are calling it his week…)Probably lost for good…

Hurt, but not hurt enough to go on the DL (yet):
Josh Beckett: Cut finger in last start but says he can make his start tomorrow
Doug Mirabelli: hurt his left ankle during batting practice on Saturday–so we get JV!–UGH…
Wily Mo: Left Friday’s game after hurting his left wrist and has not played since.
Jon Lester: Hurt back in recent fender-bender and won’t make his start tonight; possibly done for the year…
    Manny: right knee soreness
Keith Foulke: His back is acting up again
Mark Loretta: Playing through right quadriceps strain

The ONLY bench guy Tito has at this point that is healthy is Gabe Kapler…we are in deep cat sh*t if we have a game that goes into extra innings–wait…we already are in it–DEEP…

And if it isn’t bad enough–TITO was coughing up blood after yesterday’s loss. “I might have OD’d on my blood thinners,” he explained “I think I took too much.” Yeah, either that or he has one hell of a bleeding ulcer….But how sucky is that? Even the manager is hurting…

Oh, and by the way? Mike Timlin needs to SHUT THE HELL UP with his “I threw the ball exceptionally well” Cat Sh*t…you have turned into Rudy Seanez..we don’t need to hear how happy you are with your pitching….cause your not getting it done…and your attitude/comments are making it far worse…and for the record…if someone hits a homerun off you…that is not exceptional…that is CRAP…

Its going to be a VERY Long 32 games…and there is not going to be any more than that–at least not this year…

Tonight: Kason Gabbard vs. Brad Halsey–Guess when? Yep: 10:05pm
