Red Sox 1, Skanks 2 and the sweep is complete…

Posted by Christine E. at 9:07 pm in General No Comments

I don’t even know what to say…while I did not expect to win FIVE, was 2 or 3 too much to ask??? We stormed and conquered the Kingdom of SUCK my friends…and how are we rewarded? By getting to play 675 night games (ok, its only 7 out of our next 8–and 5 in a row…) and play non-stop until September 7th…Great…

Some random thoughts (’cause I don’t think I can manage much more with this headache…)

What is with all the whispy mustaches the Skanks we sporting? They all looked like freakin Ron Jeremy…or Gary Sheffield…

And what is up with Giambi? He looks so…oil and scuzzy….maybe ‘roids do that to a guy…As much as I cannot stand the guy (I never could) he was never this…GREASY…

I think A-Fraud is turning to food to calm his nerves–his ass is the size of Montana….if he ever needs any extra cash, he could always sell advertising on his ever expanding butt…

    But I’m not bitter…

Keith Foulke gave the Sox 1.2 innings of scoreless relief yesterday, and 2 innings in Friday night’s game–It’s nice to know someone besides Papelbon can get people out…So, how come he was not brought out on Saturday night, when Timlin was brought in with the bases loaded, and not only allowed all 3 of the runners Hansen left on to score, but added FOUR OF HIS OWN…

    Nope, still not bitter…

Speaking of Hansen: Craig was demoted to Pawtucket after Sunday night’s debacle, where he had given up a solo homer to Giambi and a 2-run homer to Posada in the 10th inning, taking the 8-5 loss. “`We felt like we needed to do that for him, get him to Triple A for 10 days or whatever, let him take a deep breath and kind of gather himself,” Francona said. Hansen has gotten worse in his last 10 appearances, giving up 16 runs (13 earned) for an 11.32 ERA in 10.1 innings. Replacing him on the roster is Bryan Corey.

David Wells pitched brilliantly yesterday: 7.1IP 6H 2R 2ER 1BB 4SO 0HR, 104 pitches, 69 for strikes. and for his trouble, he gets the loss and could potentially be TRADED..Apparently, he cleared waivers a few weeks ago, so now the Sox could trade him to anyone…#@*&^#&*@^*&@#^!!!

    OK, maybe I’m a little bitter…

After Alex Gonzalez was once again missing from yesterday’s lineup, Francona announced he has a Grade 1 strain of his oblique muscle. The word around town is he will be placed on the DL, paving the way for our “shortstop of the future”, 23-year old Dustin Pedroia, who wil be starting at shortstop in tonight’s game. While he does not have the defensive prowess of A-Gone, he is batting .306 with 50 RBIs at Pawtucket…

Tonight: Kyle Snyder (hopefully, Good Kyle)vs. Joe Saunders 10:05pm…I see Coco is STILL batting lead-off…grrr
