Red Sox: 2 games, Rangers: 2 games You win some, you lose some.

So out of 4 games in 3 days (and at some moments it didn’t look like we were going to get to the 4 games) we take 2, one in spectacular fashion with a walk off 3 run homer by Big Papi… And the Skankees got swept, Johnny Damon is bitching to the press, A-Rod is getting booed, body parts are falling off, and in general, life is good…

So why does it feel we lost a TON of games???

Or, maybe that is just a portent of things to come? We are off today, which is good, cause if the bullpen got any more depleted, they may have run Youk out there to pitch (hell, he’s played just about every other position and has done a great job) And Curt Schilling is pitching tomorrow–but THEN WHO IS NEXT? Wake is having back spasms, Matt Clements arm is dead, Beckett is not as lights out as he has been (or we need him to be) and David Well is nursing a bone bruise that may never heal…

Jon Lester, while he was not horrible, only got to the 4th inning on a weekend where we needed at least 6, and Dave Pauley lost most of the excellent form he had when playing the Skankees last week, getting hit with 6 runs last night.

And I don’t even want to talk about our bullpen…so I am not going to…

So the bottom line is, we need pitching…thought we wouldn’t, which is why we traded Bronson. And while I am not jumping on the bandwagon that says that the trade of him for Wily Mo was a bad one, I am saying that having someone to eat up innings is sorely missed.

This is it–the Skankees are reeling and hurt, and it (hopefully) will not get any better for them…NOW is when we should reel off a 6, 8 or 10 game winning streak, and BURY them…

Tomorrow: vs. the Minnesota Twins, who have been sucking royally–let’s hope that trend continue…
